SEO Account Manager

About the Role

We’re looking for an SEO Account Manager to take full ownership of a portfolio of clients. This isn’t a support role sitting behind a senior. You will be the single point of accountability for your accounts, from strategy through to execution and reporting, and you’ll be the person clients speak to when they want answers.

Our client base spans several industries, but the bulk of the work sits in Gaming, one of the most contested spaces in search. That context matters. You’ll be competing against operators with deep pockets and aggressive tactics, so you need to understand how the sharp end of the industry actually plays, both to compete and to defend.

What You’ll Do

• Own the SEO strategy and day-to-day delivery for a selection of clients across multiple industries, with a concentration in Gaming.
• Run technical, on-page and content work end to end, and be able to justify every decision.
• Direct the link strategy for your accounts: decide what a profile needs and when, and brief the right link types to the teams and suppliers who build them.
• Diagnose and respond to negative SEO: spot toxic link attacks, spammy anchor floods, scraped or duplicated content and manipulated signals, then decide what to disavow, clean up, or ride out.
• Launch new sites from a blank slate and take them to ranking, including keyword and market research, architecture, content planning and the technical setup.
• Oversee the technical foundation of a site, from WordPress structure to CDN and DNS setup, working through Claude Code and briefing developers where needed.
• Use Claude Code as a core part of your workflow, building and combining MCPs to automate repetitive work, and running several sessions in parallel across different accounts.
• Lead client communication: reporting, reviews, and the harder conversations when results, timelines or expectations need managing honestly.

What You’ll Need

• At least 4 years in SEO, with a track record you can point to.
• A record of building fresh sites and ranking them, not just optimising existing ones.
• Deep knowledge of competitive-industry SEO. You understand the tactics used in high-difficulty niches like Gaming and can both deploy and counter them.
• The ability to defend against negative SEO: recognise an attack, assess the damage, and know how to fix it.
• Strategic command of link building. Every major link type, and the judgement to know which one fits which scenario, and which to avoid. You’ll direct this, not execute it hands-on.
• A working understanding of how sites are built and fit together. Enough PHP, HTML and CSS to read a WordPress theme, understand how the pieces combine, and know why something behaves the way it does. You won’t be writing it from scratch, that’s what Claude Code is for, but you can’t brief or debug what you don’t understand.
• Confidence with site infrastructure: CDNs, DNS records, domain connection and migrations.
• Fluency with Claude Code and MCPs, including building and combining your own, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent sessions without dropping the ball.
• Strong command of the core SEO toolset: Ahrefs, Google Search Console and technical crawling tools are day-one requirements, not something to pick up later.
• Client-facing composure. You can hold your own in a tough meeting and answer difficult questions without deflecting.

• Direct iGaming, casino or betting SEO experience.
• Experience managing migrations without losing rankings.
• A habit of building your own tooling rather than waiting for it.
